Hair Re-Growth in Donor Area

When the patient undergoes a hair transplant surgery, the donor area is an important consideration. This is the area through which the surgeon will extract hair to place on the areas where there is thinning of hair or balding. It is located at the back of the head/scalp. As per experts, there are 154.76 hair per cm2.in the donor area.

If the patient is worried about re-growth, you must know that it may or may not grow back. In this procedure, you are your own donor and the surgeon does not use anyone else's hair follicle. The doctor would extract hair follicles from the donor sites and place it on the bald patches. Any other hair follicle taken from another human will get rejected by your body. This type of surgery or transplantation is not similar to organ transplants.
