Laparoscopy Surgery in Hyderabad

Laparoscopy (also known as minimally invasive) is a specialized surgical procedure. Some specialized instruments and a special camera known as a laparoscope is inserted through the abdominal wall of the patient to view the organs in the abdomen. This technique helps the surgeon to perform the same operations as traditional surgery but with smaller incisions.

  • Laparoscopic Myomectomy: A laparoscopic myomectomy is a fertility-preserving procedure which removes only the fibroids and leaves the uterus intact.  In this surgery, the surgeon removes fibroids by making several small abdominal incisions.

  • Laparoscopic Hysterectomy: Unlike Myomectomy, Hysterectomy surgically removes the entire uterus. Women can choose whether to keep the ovaries and cervix intact or not (as per doctor's advice).

  • Fertility Enhancing Surgery for Endometriosis: When a tissue normally found in the lining of the uterus happens to grow outside the uterus, usually in the abdomen or pelvis, the person is said to have Endometriosis. Laparoscopy is used to diagnose this condition. Endometriosis can affect fertility in many ways. Studies show that laparoscopic surgery is effective to remove diseased tissue in endometriosis and it enhances fertility in infertile women.

  • Laparoscopic recanalization: Recanalization means the process of restoring the flow to or reuniting an interrupted channel of a bodily tube (such as a blood vessel or vas deferens). Recanalization by the microsurgical technique is one of the methods to solve infertility after sterilization. Laparoscopic sterilization results in minimal injury to the tube which raises the chances of conception.

  • Laparoscopic management for pelvic prolapse: Laparoscopic pelvic prolapse surgery is an effective procedure.  The laparoscopic surgery is a safe and reliable method for reconstruction of the pelvic floor without needing any large abdominal incision.

  • Operative Hysteroscopy: Hysteroscope is used to look inside the uterine cavity, unlike laparoscope which looks at the outside of the uterus.  It can treat many of the abnormalities found during diagnostic hysteroscopy. Hysteroscopy allows correcting the causes of abnormal bleeding.
